Discipleship Pods

Tracks

Track 1

Sermon Study

In Track 1, your pod will study the CrossLife Sunday weekly sermon which is currently the book of Acts.

You will use the sermon notes from the church website (along with any personal notes you take) and discuss the sermon together.

The aim is to take biblical truths from the sermon and apply them to your life. Your pod is also encouraged to make use of the Discipleship Chart, covering a few questions each time you meet.

Track 2

Bible Book Study

In Track 2, your pod will study a book of the Bible. The elders have chosen 6 books: 3 from the Old Testament and 3 from the New Testament.

Whichever Bible book your pod selects, you will use a corresponding study guide (“Knowing the Bible” series) to help you learn and apply its truths.

Your study should take between 12–24 weeks. Your pod is also encouraged to make use of the Discipleship Chart, covering a few questions each time you meet.

Track 3

Christian Book Study

In Track 3, your pod will study a Christian book. The elders have chosen 6 books covering various subjects like Christian living, apologetics, theology, counseling, and marriage.

Your pod is also encouraged to make use of the Discipleship Chart, covering a few questions each time you meet.

  • Pods are open to members and non-members regularly attending CrossLife Community Church who are high school age and up.

  • Pods are formed by interest of tracks and study materials and guided by the input of the elders and deacons. Pods can also be formed naturally as participants desire to be with specific others.

  • Pods are encouraged to meet at least twice a month (physically preferred) to study their track materials, discuss the discipleship chart questions, and pray for one another.

  • Each pod should try to commit to one another for 6 months to a year.

  • To create a transparent and healthy environment for sharing and accountability, participants are asked to abide by the 3 C’s:
