The Christian’s Reason to Pray

  • v.9a -- 9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven,

  • 1 John 3:1a -- See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.

  • 1 Pet 5:7 --  7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

The Christian’s Priorities

  • v.9b-10 -- hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

The Christian’s Needs

  • v.11 -- 11 Give us this day our daily bread,

  • v.12 -- 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

  • v.13 -- 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
