Pastor Jojo Ma
Staff Preaching Elder
Jojo was born in 1973 at a U.S. Military Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. His family moved all over the world until finally settling down in Arcadia, California in 1982. Jojo graduated from the University of California Irvine in 1995, then completed his seminary studies in 2000 at the Talbot School of Theology (Biola University). He spent 11 years as a pastor at Evergreen SGV before being called to shepherd CrossLife Community Church — a church plant of FCBC Walnut — in October of 2010. Jojo’s passion is to proclaim the glory of Christ and the transforming power of the gospel.
Jojo has been married to Terry since 2002 and together they have 4 children. Jojo’s favorite movie is “The Princess Bride” (inconceivable!) and favorite TV show is “24”. He enjoys reading good theology, listening to Andrew Peterson, having a Cool Mint Chocolate Clif Bar for breakfast, adding Sriracha hot sauce and crushed red peppers to almost everything, cheering on the Washington Redskins/Commanders, the Anaheim Ducks, and the Lakers, but most of all spending time with his family and church family.

Pastor Alex Chen
Staff Preaching Elder
Alex was born and raised in the SGV with a brief stint in Taiwan (which he loved!). He graduated from Talbot School of Theology and the Master’s Seminary. After several years of pastoral ministry, it is his privilege and joy to serve as one of the elders at CrossLife.
Alex is a big fan of the LA Kings, Dodgers and Lakers (probably in that order). He also really loves eating McDonald’s, using lots of Tabasco, and he misses Souplantation immensely. Striving to be devoted to Scripture, Alex loves the Psalms, and his favorite verse is Romans 4:5. He is thankful for his wife and their very joyful daughter.

Pastor Jerry Tom
Elder
Jerry was born in 1965 in Hollywood, California. He graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering in 1988 (the year both the Lakers and Dodgers were World Champs!). He began his career in civil engineering working for the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, and currently works for Glendale Water and Power. Jerry is a licensed Civil Engineer and Traffic Engineer with the State of California. Jerry is married to the first girl he ever liked at church, his long time friend since high school, his beloved wife Donna. They have 3 children - Gregory, Elisha and Stephen.
Jerry is the ultimate spectator sports fan who likes watching but cannot play a single sport with any kind of proficiency. He is a big Dodgers and Lakers fan. He enjoys having a nice meal with family and friends, working out in the gym, and listening to some good sermons in the car.
